FESTIVAL DAY AT LAST !

Sunday saw the Onedrywash sponsored Doncaster Knights under 10s enter 2 teams into their home festival, the boys had prepared well and expectations were high. Both the reds led by Conor and the Blues by BJ had a genuine chance of making it through to one of the 2 knockout competition semi finals.

Both teams competed well throughout the morning, coming off second best in some very tight encounters, but all still smiling, and still believing they could acheive something from their day.

As lunch approached, there was a buzz about the place, would history repeat itself and the boys meet in the semi final again ? It wasnt to be, the boys had been drawn apart, but had a great opportunity to meet in the final. The last fit and standing players took to the field for battle, looking weary, but still believing. Conor led by example as he had done all day for the reds and took his team in search of a well deserved win, but it wasnt to be - they came up just short and like last year would go no further than the semi finals. In the other game, the blue team finally showed what they were capable of running in 3 great tries and celebrating all the way to the final. Could they go one step further than last year and win it for the squad ?

Unfortunately it wasnt to be, and the pain was clear to see for everyone - the boys had given everything, but for the second year running come up short in the final - 3rd time lucky next year ??

Well done boys, great effort from everyone - be proud and come back stronger - TOGETHER WE CAN !

A day out in Derbyshire

Sunday saw the Onedrywash sponsored Doncaster Knights under 10s cross the border into Derbyshire for a rematch against Chesterfield. Earlier in the season the sides had drawn 10 - 10 at Castle Park and they were on the hunt for a more positive return.

The Knights had a great start and for a rare moment this season, they actually led the game and werent having to come from behind. Some excellent running from Corey and a great offload saw Joe run in a great try.

It wasnt long before Chesterfield were back in it and the sides were all sqaure going into half time.

Some fantastic tackling from the Knights kept them in it and the sides traded territory and possession throughout the second half but neither could break the deadlock and it finished honours even.

The effort was clear to see and the boys were gutted but they should be proud of their efforts.

Now the focus had to turn to game 2, both sides were keen to change the result, and 2 completely different sets of players took the field. The Knights were driven on by a battling Owain and they started to look like they might edge it. That was until Chesterfield sent on some of their more established players from the first game, and they just seemed to have too much fire power for the Knights.

The boys stuck at it and never gave up on the task - another fabulous effort.

Special mention to players of the day Aaron and Thomas - well done !

SJK Products Launches Onedrywash for Caravans and Onedrywash for Motorhomes

.
Two new special formulas of Onedrywash, the revolutionary waterless vehicle washing and polishing system – one for caravans and one for motorhomes – will soon be available from SJK Products

Crawley, West Sussex – SJK Products Ltd, manufacturers of the revolutionary waterless spray on, wipe off vehicle washing system, Onedrywash, announced today two new products: Motorhome Onedrywash and Caravan Onedrywash.

The Motorhome Onedrywash label

Up to now, SJK Products has only catered, specifically, for the car with its original product, Motorcar Onedrywash. But now its new products, Motorhome Onedrywash and Caravan Onedrywash are both specially formulated, as the name would suggest, for motorhomes and caravans.

The Caravan Onedrywash label

Tim Jones, SJK’s chairman, explains how these new products differ from the original: “We’ve made the product stronger so it can cope with the harsher environments that motorhome and caravan owners tend to find themselves in. It gets rid of black streaks effectively, it’s great on acrylic windows with no smearing and it can also be used on alloy wheels because it is non-aggressive.”

Onedrywash has always been popular among owners of caravans and motorhomes due to the freedom that the product gives them to be able to clean their vehicles wherever they like, rather than only where they can find a source of water. In fact, Onedrywash is now sold at over 100 caravan sites throughout the UK. Site wardens regularly request a Onedrywash product, specially formulated for caravans and motorhomes. Now SJK Products has responded with exactly that.

The SJK Products team will be providing a sneak preview of both products at International Caravan & Motorhome 2009, NEC, 13th-18th October 2009 on the Towsure stand. The two new products, priced at £10.99 for Motorhome Onedrywash and also £10.99 for Caravan Onedrywash, will be publicly available from 1st November 2009.

It prevents pollutants and detergents from entering the river system and each bottle (7 washes) saves 1 ton of water, so it’s good news for the environment. It is available from Amazon and Autoglass who also use it to valet their clients’ vehicles. Onedrywash is the New Name for International Leading Brand of Waterless Carwash Product

.
One product, one process, Onedrywash – is the new name for the waterless carwash product (formerly known as Miracle Drywash)

Crawley, West Sussex – SJK Products Ltd officially announced today the new name it has chosen for its leading waterless carwash product, formerly known as Miracle Drywash. The rebranded product is now called “Onedrywash”.

New label design for Onedrywash for cars

There were several reasons for the name change; Tim Jones, company chairman explains: “Why ‘Onedrywash’? Well, it’s the number one waterless carwash product, now used throughout Autoglass’s 400 UK outlets and by Gate Aviation on its cars and buses in an increasing number of UK airports. Onedrywash also has an expanding network of international distributors in places as far afield as Scandinavia, Dubai and Australia as well as a vast and ever-expanding network of resellers throughout the UK.”

A bottle of the new-look Onedrywash – no water required

A major benefit of the product that, until now, was not reflected in its name was the fact that, in one go, you can clean and polish your car at the same time with no need to wet it before you start, nor rinse after cleaning (both very wasteful of water), nor wax afterwards. “We’ve come up with a new by-line that says it all,” adds Jones, “One product, one process, Onedrywash and no water required.”

Smile Corporation Ltd washes cars with Onedrywash at Brands Hatch

.
Some of the girls from Smile Corporation Ltd

Last weekend at Brands Hatch, Justine Armitage and her bevy of beauties set about washing cars during the A1 GP Race Meeting, using Onedrywash.

Justine runs the recently formed high-profile promotions agency, Smile Corporation Ltd based in Esher, Surrey. Why is it high profile? Justine was recently made redundant so she decided to set up her own business, and her story caught the attention of the media.

Her girls, who wore special black jumpsuits with chequered design, washed the racing drivers' cars in the paddock - Porsche's, Lotus's, Ferrari's and Aston Martin's of course - as well as the public's cars in the public carpark, and the event was covered by the photographer Andrew Dobell. Andrew has conveniently put some of the photos he took on his blog.

The fact that Onedrywash is waterless made the business of washing cars so much easier for the girls. It meant no hosepipes, no heavy buckets, no sponges and no getting soaked or dirty, and of course - great news for the environment - no detergents so no water pollution.

Smile Corporation Ltd is also the latest Onedrywash retailer to come on board.

All the very best to your new venture Justine. Something tells me that, despite the recession, you are going to sell a lot of Onedrywash and do really well!

SJ with Liam Guest, supervisor, Ian Selwood, telecomms, and Katie Richardson,

the National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show, Birmingham NEC

Miracle Drywash demonstrates waterless car washing on Towsure's stand at the Birmingham NEC

SJ's report, live, from the National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show at the Birmingham NEC:

Have met with many Miracle Drywash distributors who have come to the stand to say hello. We are getting a lot of feedback on the product and everyone that I talk to about it is very pleased with it and tell me that it is a wonderful product. I am really chuffed that we have made it into the Towsure catalogue (quite an accolade!) of which we have millions of copies here! I've opened it at our page and displayed it, prominently, on the windscreen of the Smart car, which now must be the cleanest Smart car in the world because I've cleaned it so many times!

If you are coming to the show and would like a demonstration of Miracle Drywash, come and find me on the Towsure stand and I will clean the Smart car AGAIN just for you!

Thank you, Towsure, for providing the Smart car and for letting us demonstrate Miracle Drywash on your huge stand.

Doncaster Knights Under 8’s Update

Together we did!!

Sunday saw the visit of Paviors to Castle Park, determined to overturn their defeat in the rain from October. But the Miracle Drywash and Autoglass®-sponsored side were determined if nothing else, and they defended solidly all day, with the TAGmaster Connor Gilmore earning Player of the Day for his efforts.

Despite the ‘physical’ nature of this non-contact encounter, the Knights stuck to their task and, following a draw in the first outing, worked hard to win by a couple of tries in their second game.

The joy on everyone’s faces was clear to see, but Paviors determination saw them ask for a third game and one more chance to take their revenge. With both teams tiring, a very scrappy game ensued with the away team edging it by one point. Now everyone could go home happy!!

It was a great day for the team, with everyone getting a chance to run with the ball in hand, and some new names appearing on the score sheet, which led to Oliver Cunnigham earning the respect of his team as the winner of the coveted Most Effort Award.

Well done everyone – Bring on Harrogate next week.

Under 8’s announce end of season tour

This weekend the Miracle Drywash and Autoglass®-sponsored Doncaster Knights under 8’s confirmed plans for their first ever tour, where they will put their skills to the test at the Scarborough International Festival in April 09.

There are 10 families heading for a weekend of holiday park fun with some rugby scattered in between, and they will be working hard over the coming weeks to raise some money for transport and on-tour refreshments !!

Autoglass charity carwash raises £500

£500 raised for Keech Cottage children's hospice, 31 cars cleaned and 4.65 tons of water saved!

Miracle carwashers: Shaun (front) with (left to right) Ian, Martin and SJ

Last Friday (5 Sept 2008), at their Cardington, Bedfordshire head office, Autoglass held a charity carwash in aid of Keech Cottage, the children's hospice. Keech Cottage is the company's chosen charity and this was one of many fund-raising events in the Autoglass calendar.

It was a charity carwash with a difference, however, because not a drop of water was used to wash the approx 30 cars. Instead, they used Miracle Drywash! Mark Howe, Autoglass Central Support Manager takes up the story (click the Play > button below):(Video not playing? Prestige Mobile Valeting Services' switch to Miracle Drywash featured in the Dorset Echo

Car valeter uses much less water

LET'S face it - we could all do with using less water.

According to Waterwise, the leading authority on water efficiency in the UK, there is an underlying water resource problem in this country and the effects of climate change means that rainfall will be more intense, leading to more droughts and floods.

We all use on average 150 litres a day so it is essential that we all reduce the amount of water we waste.

Someone who is helping that is car valeter Paul Fairless of Crossways who is using a waterless product for his business.

"It's amazing because a 500ml bottle will save a ton of water," said Paul who is the only person in the area distributing Miracle Dry Wash.

The product is eco-friendly as well because it contains no detergents.

Paul, who runs Prestige Mobile Valeting Services, said: "I think it must have been designed for the desert.

"I had been looking for a waterless product because I was conscious how much water I was getting through.

"I still use some water because you need it for really grubby wheels but it's nowhere near as much as I used to get through.

"As well as using it for valeting I can distribute it as well. Customers are impressed because they know it's better for the environment."

Photos and a few words about the show at Knebworth Hall

The show was on the 15th June at Knebworth Hall. It was advertised as a 'Fathers Day Family Fun Day'. It combined Classic Cars and Modern Japanese Cars in one field. Roughly 600 cars attended with a much bigger lean towards the Classics. The weather was brilliant, very dry and sunny.

Between Jerry and I we managed to hand out a few hundred leaflets and also spoke to a large number of car owners. We sold 16 Boxes and 1 bottle of Miracle Drywash. Although only a small scale show we felt that Miracle Drywash gained a good amount of interest and many of the classic car owners thought long and hard about hanging up the bucket and sponge which I feel is a bit of an achievment.

Hope things are well, speak to you soon.

Andrew

---

We've received this lovely letter from Jan and Colin, Hertfordshire:

"We purchased your product at the Classic Car Show which was held at Knebworth House 15th June 2008, and we are absolutely delighted with it. Our car was filthy, and now it looks like new, the product is so easy to use, and the benefits are great, saving water being the most beneficial.

Well done!!!"

Thanks so much for writing in to us Jan & Colin! Glad you like it!

Miracle Drywash Now Available in Scandinavia and Beyond

Car care firm Peek Scandinavia is now reselling MDW and will be demonstrating it at a long list of major car shows throughout Denmark and Sweden.

Copenhagen, Denmark: Matt Jensen, former truck driver and founder of the car care firm Peek Scandinavia is now selling Miracle Drywash throughout Scandinavia as well as into several neighbouring countries. In addition to the waterless carwash product being available by mail order through his own website http://www.peekscandinavia.com, Matt will also be taking it with him on his ‘Roadshop Tour’ around Denmark and Sweden where he will display and demonstrate the product at a long list of major, high profile car and truck shows.

The Peek-mobile!

Miracle Drywash will be on show at the following events:
  • 21 to 22 June 2008, Amerikaner biltræf på Texas ranch, http://www.texasranch.dk/?pid=95&sub=54 in Klippinge, Stevns (south east part of Seeland), Denmark hosted by the Trans Am Club of Denmark. On display will be 800-1000 American cars, the majority of which will be Trans Ams. The Harley Davidson Club of Denmark and the Indian Bike Club of Denmark have also been invited to participate in the show.
  • 28 to 29 June 2008, Rumble #3, http://www.southislandcruisers.dk/ in Balle, near Vordingborg, Denmark hosted by the American Car Club called the South Island Cruisers. On display will be 200-350 American cars.
  • 2 to 4 July 2008, Power Big Meet, http://www.bigmeet.com in Västerås, Sweden hosted by Power Big Meet. 10,000 cars are expected to this show. Last year there were 12,000.
  • 14 to 17 Aug 2008, Fyns MC Festival, http://fynsmcfestival.dk in Odense on Fyn where 2500 bikes are expected and many rock bands will also be performing including Sandman.
  • 13 to 14 Sept 2008, Lastbilsmagasinets Truckshow, http://www.lastbilshow.dk in Roskilde which is a truckers festival with 200-300 lorries expected.
Matt first heard about Miracle Drywash in May of this year at the Super Rally show http://www.superrally.dk in Fredericia, Denmark where he was promoting Mozito Car Care products and Peek Polish. Another stall holder there told him that the owner of the website http://www.heavy.nu used the product and loved it. So Matt went online, found MDW’s website and got in touch with the company and placed his order. He will be demonstrating and selling the product at the above 6 shows with many more shows to be planned in the future.

"As soon as I saw that Marks & Spencers were selling it, I knew it had to be a quality product. I didn't even feel a need to test it so I placed an order for a shipment there and then. Now I’ve used it and it's a brilliant product and fast and easy to use,” says Matt.

This is the first time that MDW has been available in Scandinavia. Matt actually plans to sell the product into the Baltics, Iceland and Germany too through a network of dealers as well as through his site. Matt, a former truck driver, has been selling car care products since 2006. “We believe in high quality products – those that we sell are not the cheapest on the market but we guarantee that they are the best around. We have always promised to fully refund our customers if they are not totally satisfied. Needless to say, so far so good - we haven’t had to refund a single penny,” he says.

Miracle Drywash attends The Mini Day in the North

The day was hosted by
Trent Valley Mini Club

Miracle Drywash had a stall at the 'Mini Owners Club National Rally' ("The Mini Day in the North") which was held at Normandy Hall just outside Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire, last Sunday on Fathers Day. Thousands of people and hundreds of Minis showed up and all went well apart from the weather. Ironically, there was too much water around for a while (there was a downpour). It didn’t ruin the day but it did put a dampener (excuse the pun) on the proceedings.

The spectacle for the day was the Miracle Drywash challenge to see how long it took to clean a Mini with MDW – that, of course, means doing two jobs at once i.e. both cleaning and polishing in one go. Have a guess how long it took? …It was only 7 minutes. Using a hosepipe, bucket, sponge, soap and chamois THEN wax would obviously take longer but they never managed to make a direct comparison – probably because the weather cut things short.

So how long does it take to wash and polish a mini the traditional way?
